It was announced earlier that Sports Alpha Capital was looking at buying a stake in the club. So, who are they? Well, it is a consortium created by athletes who are looking to take over clubs. One example of a player who has done this is Wilfried Zaha, who has a stake in Croydon Athletic.
This group has a player with a slightly more well-known name. The highest-profile name from SAC is Alexandre Pato, the striker who played for Chelsea and AC Milan. He is the face of the group and will be the leading figure behind their public image.
