Nottingham Forest are set to appoint former Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Vitor Pereira as their fourth manager of the season in the coming days, with the Portuguese boss set to replace Sean Dyche after he was dismissed this morning following a 0-0 draw with Wolves last night, according to journalist Matteo Moretto.
Pereira, 57, has been out of work since November having overseen a terrible start to the season with the doomed Old Gold side, who sit rock bottom of the Premier League with just nine points. However, he does have some credit in the bank amongst Wolves fans after helping guide the club to survival last term.
Nottingham Forest are moving onto their fourth manager of what has been a chaotic campaign in the East Midlands, with the side qualifying for Europe last term but now facing a tough relegation battle against West Ham and former Forest boss Nuno Santo.
This will not mark the first time in the career of Vitor Pereira that he has worked under the guise of Evangelos Marinakis, having led a six-month spell in charge of Greek side Olympiakos back in 2015.
He enjoyed favourable spells with the likes of Shanghai Port, Flamengo and Fenerbahce in his post-Greece days, and wound up in charge of Wolves in replacement of Gary O'Neil in December 2024 amidst an ongoing fight against relegation.

Una vez resueltos los detalles de su viejo contrato con los Wolves, el portugués estará libre para comenzar su nueva aventura.
A stunning six-game winning streak towards the end of the season ensured Wolves' survival, but financial worries and departures of star players like Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri have left the club strapped for quality and in near-acceptance of their descent down into the Championship for next season, after Pereira helped the club to just two points from his ten games in charge of the club at the start of this season.
Nottingham Forest's campaign was covered in promise and hope to start the term, but has quickly boiled down into a melting pot of chaos as the club have sifted through the services of Nuno Santo, Ange Postecoglou and Sean Dyche over the course of the season, and are now looking for their fourth manager to guide the club desperately away from West Ham United in 18th place, with just 12 games left of the season.
Forest have identified the available Pereira as a potential target, owing to his prior relationship with Marinakis and successful survival last season with Wolves, though fans at Molineux have been critical of the squad he left behind upon his departure in favour of Rob Edwards.
