Goalless between Forest and Fulham

Nottingham Forest and Fulham played out a tense but ultimately goalless draw at the City Ground, in a match that promised plenty but delivered very little in front of goal. Both sides showed moments of attacking intent, yet neither could find the decisive breakthrough. Starting brightly, Forest looked like the better side for large spells of the game. Morgan Gibbs-White and Callum Hudson-Odoi were lively in attacking areas, while Igor Jesus and later Taiwo Awoniyi tried to stretch the Fulham backline. The hosts registered more attempts overall, but their finishing lacked the precision required to trouble the visitors seriously.

Meanwhile, Fulham were content to absorb pressure and pick their moments on the counter. Marco Silva’s side enjoyed slightly more possession and remained organised defensively, with Raúl Jiménez and Harry Wilson leading the line but struggling to carve out clear-cut opportunities.

There was a brief moment of drama in the second half when Forest thought they had finally broken the deadlock through a strike from Dan Ndoye, only for the effort to be ruled out after a VAR review. From there, the game meandered into a game filled with substitutions and fouls rather than genuine chances.

Ultimately, both teams had to settle for a point. For Forest, the result does little to ease their relegation worries as the season heads toward its final stretch. Fulham, on the other hand, will likely see it as a solid away performance. Fulham were disciplined and organised, but they lacked the cutting edge to turn control into victory.

Fulham are 11th in the table with 41 points after today's game, while Nottingham Forest are 17th, level on points with West Ham who are in the relegation zone. The game ensured an important point for Forest who have a busy week ahead, facing Midtjylland in the Europa League Round 16 on Thursday, followed by fellow relegation candidates Spurs on Sunday.
