In the opening 4 fixtures of the League Two season, Jones has scored 2 and assisted 3 which has lifted his side to 2nd place.
The Magpies being able to retain Jones at the club shows that they mean business, a side that are now going to battle it out at the top end of the table and push for a promotion spot whether that is automatic or through Playoffs.
Only thing that tops this this season is promotion. That’s how significant this is https://t.co/CgRdeLxukn

An near perfect start to the season for The Magpies is also thanks to David McGoldrick. The ex Sheffield United striker has bagged 4 goals already this season and the experienced 36 year old shows no sign of slowing down regardless of age.
Another stand out for this promising County side is new signing and starting goalkeeper, Alex Bass. Bass has kept a clean sheet in half of the games this season and will be looking to settle in comfortably with County and push for League One football next season.
