The 27-year-old Hibernian centre-back has emerged as a major defensive target for Russell Martin as he continues attempting to reshape his League One squad before the transfer window closes.

The connection with Martin is an obvious part of this potential deal, with O'Hora previously playing under the Leicester boss during their time together at MK Dons. Martin therefore already knows exactly what type of defender and character O'Hora could bring into his squad.

Leicester have reportedly made a six-figure bid, meaning their interest has gone beyond simply monitoring the defender, although a deal has not yet been agreed.

O'Hora also has plenty of experience in English lower-league football, making 150 league appearances during his time with MK Dons before moving to Hibernian.

He has since become a regular in Scotland, making 32 league appearances during the 2024/25 campaign before another 29 last season.

Leicester Desperate To Strengthen Before Deadline

Leicester appear increasingly desperate to strengthen on deadline day following a very poor start to their League One campaign.

After suffering back-to-back relegations, the Foxes desperately need to reshape their squad and bring in players capable of helping them turn their fortunes around.

The pressure is already building on Martin, and Leicester cannot afford to allow their situation to deteriorate further after falling from the Premier League into League One in successive seasons.

That makes the remaining hours of the transfer window absolutely huge for the club.

Leicester need to get important deals over the line, and O'Hora could provide some of the defensive experience they have been lacking during their difficult start to the season.

With Martin already familiar with the defender and Leicester actively working on a deal, O'Hora could prove to be an important late addition if the Foxes can reach an agreement with Hibernian.
