Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Emerges As Favourite For Republic of Ireland Job
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has emerged as the favourite to take over the Republic of Ireland job.
Solskjaer has been without a job since leaving Manchester United in 2021. However, he has since been very open about wanting to get back in the dugout.
The Republic of Ireland decided against extending the contract of former manager Stephen Kenny in November and have since been looking for their next manager as well.
Former Republic of Ireland and Manchester United player John O'Shea took over for Ireland's two recent International fixtures and was originally the favourite to take the permanent role.
Despite this, in recent days, it has become less likely that that will be the case. Solskjaer taking the favourites spot.
Steve Bruce, Gus Poyet, Roy Keane and Anthony Barry are also in the race.
