Port Vale have decided to let Mitchell Clark depart the club this window. He hasn’t been the most in favour player so far this season having only played 12 matches this season and starting 11 of those 12.
The defender has been looking for a fresh start with a new club this window and has seemed to have finally found the place for him to start. According to reports from SportsPeteO on X, League Two side Fleetwood Town have decided to pick him up on a 6-month loan taking him to around his contract's expiration at Port Vale.

This move looks to have been completed before the 7PM closing of the transfer window tonight.
After a strong season last season with Port Vale that saw him help them get promoted back to League One, it looks like he hasn’t been able to adjust to the change in the leagues and that has seen him fall out of favour at the club.
He will be hoping that he can find his feet and form again away from Port Vale and with a new club in League Two. Fleetwood currently sit in 15th in League Two, and he will be hoping that with him joining them, that he can help them a bit closer towards the top of the table and could potentially see this loan move become a permanent one when his contract ends in June.
Elsewhere in League One, Wimbledon look to sign a ex-Liverpool striker in their hopes of staying in the League.
With Mitchell Clark’s contract running out soon, this is his perfect opportunity to show Fleetwood why they should look to make this loan move a permanent one. With the potential of consistent playtime, he could very much do that in the next few months over the duration of the loan at the club.
