Oxford United have been granted an extension in the window they have to get the paperwork over the line for Millwall left winger Aidomo Emakhu.
A late deal emerged for the 22-year-old, with Oxford looking to bolster their attacking options in their uphill battle against relegation back to League One.
Emakhu had been made available to leave The Den, with Millwall looking to offload some numbers, and a multitude of clubs were interested, but it seems Oxford have beaten off any opposition – subject to them submitting the documents before the extended deadline.
The likely departure of Emakhu hasn't settled well with Millwall fans, with many believing the 22-year-old has what it takes to be a part of the first-team squad for the foreseeable future.

Emakhu joined the club back in 2023 from Irish outfit Shamrock Rovers and has played an important role over the past few seasons, with this one marking his most prominent to date, having made almost all of the possible appearances this season in the Championship.
Oxford emerged as favourites for the forward, following striker Tom Bradshaw's departure on loan to League One club Barnsley and the termination of versatile midfielder Matt Phillips' contract.
Emakhu will bring a youthful presence to the Oxford frontline and will hopefully provide them with some much-needed spark and goalscoring prowess. in their ongoing battle to stay in the division.
