Crystal Palace have just seen one full-back leave, and they could be set to see a new man come in to replace him. This man, like them, has won a European trophy. He used to be one of the best in his position and has already spent time at Palace.

This man is none other than Ben Chilwell. The 29-year-old has spent a year in France after leaving Chelsea, and he could already be set to return to England.

He played 34 games last season, providing three assists. While he is not as good as he used to be, there is still a player in there. With one of the highest successful crossing rates per 90 last season in Ligue 1, as well as strong interception numbers, he can still do a job.

His experience and leadership could be pivotal for Palace this season after losing so many key figures. He would also fit the system as a flying full-back. He could be the perfect short-term transfer for this season.
