Pepe Reina Reunites with Cesc Fabregas at Como

In a move that's set to ignite Serie A, legendary Spanish goalkeeper Pepe Reina has officially signed with newly-promoted Como. The 41-year-old will not only bring his vast experience to the club but will also reunite with his former international teammate, Cesc Fabregas, who is now leading Como from the dugout.

Reina and Fabregas were integral parts of Spain’s golden era, sharing the pitch during La Roja's dominance from 2008 to 2012. Together, they helped Spain secure one World Cup and two European Championships, creating memories that have become legendary in football history. Now, twelve years after their last triumph together, they are set to join forces once more, this time with Fabregas in a managerial role.

Fabregas, transitioning from a glittering playing career to a promising coaching career, is at the helm of Como, orchestrating their Serie A campaign. He considers Reina's experience as "fundamental" to the club's ambitions.

The former Arsenal and Chelsea star is also on the verge of bringing in Marseille's Pau Lopez as the starting goalkeeper, with Reina expected to provide vital backup and mentorship.

The Spanish influence at Como is growing stronger. In addition to Reina, Alberto Moreno, another seasoned player released by Villarreal, is set to join the ranks. Moreno, known for his tenure at Liverpool, will bring his flair and experience to the squad.

Additionally, reports suggest that Real Betis’ Rodri Sanchez might also be on his way to Como, adding further depth to the team.

Throughout his career, Reina has amassed an impressive trophy haul, including the FA Cup, League Cup, Bundesliga title, two European Championships, and the World Cup. His experience will be invaluable to Como as they aim to solidify their place in Serie A.

With the addition of Reina and potentially more Spanish talent, Fabregas is building a squad that blends experience with youthful exuberance. Como fans can look forward to a season filled with excitement and hope, as their club strives to make a mark in Italy's top flight.
