Port Vale Complete Loan Deal For Wigan Athletic Winger

Maleace Asamoah Set For Loan Move to Port Vale

EFL League Two side Port Vale have recieved a boost to their wide options on deadline day as they complete a move for Wigan Athletic's Maleace Asamoah on loan until the end of the season, first according to Pete O'Rourke of Football Insider.

The 23 year-old arrived at Wigan from Fleetwood Town, where he originally came through the youth ranks before moving to Greece with Kalamata, as well as a loan move to Ireland with Waterford, scoring six times in 17 matches which caught the eye of Wigan Athletic who signed Asamoah on a free transfer.

In the next two seasons at Wigan, Asamoah made 47 appearences in EFL League One, however with three goals scored, Wigan sent Asamoah on loan back to Ireland where he found form two years previously with Waterford, this time for record champions Shamrock Rovers, which saw one goal scored in 13 appearances.

And now, Asamoah is back in England and back in the EFL at Port Vale in League Two, with the side struggling once more following last season's relegation to the fourth tier, with one draw and two losses from the opening three matches. With the hope the 23-year-old winger can help the good times return to Vale Park this season.
