Portsmouth are closing in on a completed deal for Luton Town forward Millenic Alli, according to Football League World.
Despite having only joined the Hatters from Exeter City a year ago, the 25-year-old forward has struggled to nail down a truly consistent starting position at Kennilworth Road, having started just 12 of Luton's 25 League One affairs so far this term.
Millenic Alli - pace / dribbler

The winger we need. Seems to be better off the left? But can play the right and I assume that’s where he’ll play for Pompey when Murphy is fit.
Loan and if succeeds perm in summer?
Not bad business still need 4/5 more after him tho
With Portsmouth languising one spot above the drop zone in the Championship this season, the onus is on them to add more firepower into their forward line - particularly after seeing star winger Yang Min-hyeok recalled and sent to league leaders Coventry City.
The deal taking Alli to Fratton Park will be a loan until the end of the season, with Luton manager Jack Wilshere confirming that the Ireland forward needs minutes.
Alli made a strong start to his life in Luton, joining what was then Matt Bloomfield's side amidst their unsuccessful fight against consecutive relegations and scoring four goals in his first half-season.
This season, he has netted just once from 21 overall appearances, and does not appear to be the first-choice option for Wilshere for his promotion-chasing side. The likes of Cohen Bramall have been preferred out on the flanks, whereas the likes of Nakhi Wells, Jerry Yates and Jacob Brown have been ahead of him at center-forward, although Alli provided a game-deciding assist from the bench in a 1-1 draw with Bolton recently, and made a starting showing in a 2-2 draw with Port Vale last time out.
Milenic Alli has done more good than bad at this club. The way he’s been treated is a disgrace

With his minutes not concrete in Luton, the time appears to have come for him to make a switch. Rare is the occasion that a player goes out on loan to a club one division up, but it is Championship strugglers Portsmouth who seem set to bring Alli in until the end of the season.
The versatile 25-year-old is comfortable playing as a winger, striker and also as a wing-back, and only signed for Luton in the January of 2025 from Exeter City. The seven-figure deal was actioned after he scored nine League One goals in the first half of the season in a bid by Bloomfield to avoid Luton being relegated for consecutive terms, having been a Premier League side in the 23/24 campaign.
After a decent initial impact, game time hasn't been a guarantee for Alli since that point and Portsmouth are in need of forward-line reinforcements. As such, John Mousinho is closing in on a new arrival at Fratton Park.
