Tuesday 18th June, 9am is a time which every fan of a Premier League club has been looking forward to for weeks. Fixture release day build the anticipation for the new season, which kicks off on the weekend of 17/18th August.

New boys Ipswich start their campaign with an tough yet exciting encounter with Arne Slot’s Liverpool. What a welcome to the top flight for the Tractor Boys. This is followed by a trip to Manchester City, the Sussex outfit with perhaps the toughest two opening games they could have asked for.

Talking of Liverpool, Arne Slot will travel to Old Trafford for his first taste of a Liverpool/Manchester rivalry that continues to boil at the end of August. The first Merseyside Derby is on Saturday 7th December, a trip across Stanley Park to Goodison for the Reds. The return fixture is set for a midweek in early April. There is a tough run in for the Reds, who face Chelsea and Arsenal back to back during the run in.

Stamford Bridge will host a mouth watering clash between reigning champions Manchester City and Chelsea, a tough start for Enzo Maresca. London derbies include Arsenals visit to west London on 9th December and an away trip to Spurs a few weeks before Christmas. Return fixtures are later on in the season in March and early April. And Stamford Bridge will be the destination for Manchester United on the penultimate day of the season which could have intriguing stipulations.

Manchester United’s campaign will be the curtain raiser against Fulham on Friday 17th August.

Arsenal meanwhile welcome Wolves to the Emirates, and Villa have a trip to the Capital too – the London stadium their destination.

Play Off winners Southampton have a tough game away to Newcastle, who will hope there is a similar opening day to that of 23/24 where they thrashed Aston Villa.

Last seasons strugglers Nottingham Forest welcome Bournemouth, while Brentford welcome Crystal Palace.

The first Monday Night fixture of the season rounds off the first round of matches, Leicester welcoming Spurs to the King Power for their first game back in the top flight.

Notable derbies include the all Manchester clashes on 14th December and 5th April at the Etihad and Old Trafford respectively.

An early season North London derby will occur on 14th September at the Tottenham Hotspur season, while the return fixture is on 14th January.
