Pressure builds on Rosenior as Man United beat Chelsea 1-0 at Stamford Bridge

The pressure is certainly building on Liam Rosenoir as Chelsea make it four straight Premier League defeats while also not scoring a single goal! This result has given a massive hit to their Champions League qualification hopes, whereas it has solidified Man United as the number one pick for 3rd place.

The match itself was quite open with chances at both ends at times; however, United's makeshift defence stood strong and fought hard for all three points. For Chelsea, failing to score against such a weakened United team... serious alarm bells must be ringing at the club.

Chelsea created more than enough goal-scoring opportunities but were one of the most wasteful teams I have seen this season. 21 shots with only 3 on target! My oh my, that is bad.

They were without Joao Pedro and Liam Delap did not step up as the starting number nine.

Looking at the stats, it was a smash-and-grab job from United, with only four shots in the match but one goal just before half-time after a beautiful cross from Bruno Fernandes... how many times will we say that this season?

He is having yet another fantastic season and has really been carrying Manchester United on his back from gameweek one.

On the other end of the pitch, Garnacho had yet another performance to forget in a Chelsea shirt. He really hasn't arrived at Chelsea after leaving today's away side in the summer. This would have been the perfect match to put a great performance in, but yet again he didn't deliver.

The next few games will be key for both Chelsea's future and their boss Liam Rosenior's future. If results don't start to pick up, he may be yet another failed Chelsea manager kicked out of the club.

Chelsea face off against Brighton next, which will be yet another tough game as Brighton are an outsider who have recently come up fighting for Europe after a poor run in the middle of the season.

United are back at Old Trafford to take on Brentford, who are also pushing for a European place, which no one expected. They have drawn their last five games so United will need to have a big performance at home to stop that run.
