PSG Interested in Joshua Kimmich

According to Fabrizio Romano, who Football Park rate as a tier one source, PSG are interested in Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich.

The Germany international has been a key player for Bayern since signing from Stuttgart in 2015, for an €8.5 million fee. However, it looks like his time at the Bavarians may be up.

Bayern have been chasing Fulham’s Joao Palhinha for the past 12 months, and it looks like they’ve finally secured their man. Both Palhinha and Kimmich operate as defensive midfielders, so Kimmich’s playing time might be limited moving forward.

In addition, Kimmich has won everything possible to win in Germany, and might look for a new challenge this summer.

For this reason Kimmich may be willing to leave the club he’s spent the last 9 years at, especially now that PSG are interested. The French club are looking to rebuild as they prepare for the departure of Kylian Mbappe, and they also may need to replace Manchester United target Manuel Ugarte.

Kimmich, now 29-years-old, has previously been a target for Manchester City, Arsenal, and clubs in Saudi Arabia.
