According to Keith Downie at Sky Sports, Rangers have made a double enquiry for Sunderland duo Dan Neil and Romaine Mundle. Sunderland are reportedly open for both players to go and get minutes on loan.
Romaine came through the Tottenham Hotspur academy before switching London for Tyneside. The winger featured heavily last season as Sunderland were promoted back to the Premier League, gaining 25 league appearances. Since their promotion, he has not started a Premier League game, only featuring eight times as a substitute. The 22-year-old has a current market value of £8m, so remains to be seen whether a buy option will be included.

Dan Neil is well regarded as a hometown hero, playing 200 games for the Black Cats, captaining the side to play-off success last May against Sheffield United. Neil has featured even less this season, only appearing three times in the Premier League.
