Andy Robertson to leave Liverpool at the end of the season

It's the end of an era for the Scotland captain as Liverpool have officially confirmed that their vice-captain, Andy Robertson, is to leave Anfield at the season.

Robertson, who is out of contract in the summer, will leave the club after a successful nine years at the club after signing from Hull City in July 2017 on an £8m deal. The 32-year-old won a total of nine trophies in his time at the club, including the Premier League twice in 2020 and in 2025 as well as the Champions League in 2019.

In total, Robertson has played 373 games for Liverpool in all competitions and is currently 36th in the all-time list of Liverpool appearances.

His immediate thoughts in the summer will be Scotland's first men's World Cup appearance since 1998 but after it will be trying to find a new club and Robertson should have options on the table after previous moves this year to Atletico Madrid and Tottenham fell through.

According to The Times Paul Joyce, both Atletico and Tottenham remain interested in signing Robertson along with Juventus and Napoli, who already have fellow Scotland internationals Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour on the books.
