Schalke 04 Reach Verbal Agreement For Sporting Youngster

17/06/24 18:09

According to Florian Plettenberg, who Football Park rates as tier one in reliability, a verbal agreement between Tiago Ferreira and German Bundesliga 2 side Club Schalke 04 has been reached.

There have been talks about Sporting B’s captain joining the Koeningsblauen before but they did not lead to an agreement.

Ferreira, who has been with Sporting since his youth, currently plays for their second team in the Portuguese third league as a winger. He started every game last season and contributed to his team just missing out on the promotion play-offs on goal difference.

The 22-year-old also had the opportunity to play for Sporting CP’s first team in the group stage of the Europa League against KS Rakow Czestochowa last season. Despite being on the pitch for just 20 minutes he certainly impressed.

Schalke 04 are trying to make the deal happen quickly and are apparently working intensely in order to get the Portuguese international to join the club for next season.

Although Sporting B and Schalke 04 have come to a verbal agreement, they now need to clarify all details and make the transfer public.

As of now, nothing has been officially confirmed or denied but considering there have been talks for a long time, chances are Ferreira will soon be playing for the Koeningsblauen.
