Serie A Players Linked to Luxury Prostitution Ring

Reports in Italy have stated the uncovering of a luxury prostitution ring, with around 50 different players from Serie A reportedly involved.

According to La Gazetta, a number of high-level athletes from Italian football's top-tier and even an Formula 1 driver are listed amongst the clientele who have used the service before, with around 100 different female escorts being used by the ring.

Four arrests have been made in relation to the uncovering of the ring, with the list of wealthy clientele attached to the group having been redacted by judge Chiara Valori, who placed 37-year-old Emanuele Buttini and his partner Deborah Ronchi as well as two of their associates under house arrest for using planning company Ma. De Milano as a front for their illicit scheme.

Bettini and Ronchi have been alleged to be the creators and driving forces behind the syndicate, managing relationships with the owners of the venues they operated alongside by holding regular meetings, whilst also providing operational instructions to the venue staff at the parties they organised. They were also responsible for the girls' transportation between parties and events.

The pair also oversaw the scheme's financial side with management of revenue and processing of payment, including payments to the girls fronted by the group for services, including sexual ones, provided by the syndicate's list of wealthy clients. Wire-taps involved in the process of uncovering the groups actions revealed numerous text messages between the overseers of the group's illict scheme. As well as footballers, athletes, celebrities, and wealthy entrepreneurs were also amongst the list of clients using the group's services.

The services provided by the group followed the same pattern - a dinner service with a luxury restaurant in Milan, followed with the option of continuing the evening in clubs, bars and hotels. One tapped text message reads "We'll take them to Just," referring to Just Cavalli - a well-known nightlife venue in Milan, as well as another stating "or we'll be at Me," referring to a hotel found in Piazza della Repubblica.

The organisation was reportedly controlled by an agency based in Cinisello Balsamo and managed by the two main suspects. All of this was advertised on Instagram, using a Luxury Concierge page which was followed by a number of Serie A players. Trips abroad were also organised by the involved parties, particularly to Mykonos in Greece.

Serie A Players and Athletes Claimed on Redacted List of Clients

The wealthy list of clientele attached to the group reportedly features a number of Serie A talents, as well as other celebrities, entrepreneurs and wealthy businessmen. Other wiretaps involved in uncovering the organisation claimed an arrangement for an un-named F1 driver: "I have a friend who's a Formula 1 driver who wants a paid girlfriend. Can we find her?".

The syndicate began promoting evenings in 2019 and continued to do so throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. A witness stated "We worked almost every evening, even during lockdown."

During a check in the April of 2021, as many as 17 people were identified at the group's HQ in Cinisello Balsamo during a lockdown, when gatherings were banned. The same witness had reported that an illegal nightclub could also be found at the headquarters through a semi-hidden entrance on the ground floor where, even in lockdown, social events with escort services were organised on a near-daily basis.
