Shaun Wright-Phillips makes controversial call on England attack

The former Chelsea, Manchester City and Queen’s Park Rangers winger has decided who he’d prefer in his team, if given the choice between Bukayo Saka, Phil Foden and Cole Palmer.

In a game of start, bench, sell, Wright Phillips said that he would “Start Phil (Foden), sub (Cole) Palmer and sell (Bukayo) Saka.”

England’s current attacking line-up is a hot debate right now, after their lack-lustre 1-1 draw with Denmark on Thursday.

So far at Euro 2024, Palmer has remained on the bench, with many wondering why the 2023/24 Premier League golden boot contender hasn’t been involved.

Wright-Phillips went on to state that between a choice of Jude Bellingham, Declan Rice and Trent Alexander-Arnold, he would start Bellingham, bench Rice and put Liverpool’s Alexander-Arnold up for sale.
