Sheffield United are preparing a move to sign Tahith Chong from Luton Town, per Danny Hall.
The ex-Manchester United winger was once hoped to be a graduate from Carrington, until several loan spells curtailed this dream.

Now down in League One with The Hatters, the Dutchman is ready to make a move back to the Championship, where he has already played with two teams.
After signing Japhet Tanganga from Millwall earlier today, Sheffield United are looking to strengthen their wide areas, having played Villa loanee Louie Barry and Tyrese Campbell on the wings despite the latter preferring a central role.
A Premier League player as recent as two seasons ago with Luton, Chong clearly has the capabilities of adding quality to the Blades, who will be hoping to push on from the disappointment of May's play-off final heartbreak.
The 25-year-old is also very versatile, having played 61 games out on the right with 54 coming from the left, plus another 48 being from in behind the striker should Callum O'Hare need back-up.
Overall, Chong has 88 Championship appearances with seven goals and nine assists plus another four goals from the top flight.
This news will come as no surprise for The Hatters, who were bracing themselves for a sale all summer.
Manager Matt Bloomfield said earlier in the window:
“I think Chongy inevitably is one of the players that will get interest because he was playing very well in the Premier League two seasons ago.
"If we can keep him, then I’d love to have him here. But I’m also understanding of the fact that he is one of the boys that we’re going to have interest in.
“If he’s here past the deadline, then we will certainly be a stronger squad for having Chongy. But we understand that, because of his pedigree and the level that he’s played in the last couple of years, inevitably he’ll probably attract the interest as well.”
A fee is yet to be agreed, however it will likely bring in good money for Luton to be able to reinvest into the squad as they try to turn around their fortunes after back-to-back relegations.
Otherwise, the likes of Isaiah Jones and Millenic Alli will have to step up to the plate.
