Steve Bruce And His New And Improved Blackpool Side

26/09/24 22:13

Steve Bruce was appointed manager of Blackpool only a month ago and already has won 3 out of 3 matches in League One despite losing to Sheffield Wednesday in the Carabao Cup two weeks ago.

Bruce has come into a Blackpool side that was regularly conceding goals and struggling to maintain a strong goalscoring track whilst being strong defensively. Since Bruce’s appointment, Blackpool have managed to bring their goal difference back to 0 and have kept their second clean sheet this season too.

A young and prosperous Blackpool side has already defeated promotion hungry Charlton and Huddersfield this season and will look to add many more victories under their belt as they seek a promotion finish this season after their relegation from the Championship 2 seasons ago.

Stand out players for Blackpool this season has to be James Husband. The goal scoring centre half whose bullet header has soured his side to victory against Exeter as well as a close 4-4 draw with Cambridge.

Another has to be Kyle Joseph. 3 goals and an assist already this season, more than anyone else in Orange. The 23 year old has already scored more goals this season than he did last season for the men in Orange and will look to add more to his tally throughout the season.

A veteran of the English footballing league, Steve Bruce has already shown that Blackpool have what it takes when coached correctly, therefore when it comes to facing the giants of League One and really pushing for promotion, Blackpool have a strong chance.

The likes of Wrexham, Stockport and Birmingham prove to be the toughest opponents that Blackpool will face but Bruce has already shown a change to his new side.
