Summerville Makes Shock Transfer To West Ham

West Ham have just snapped up winger Crysencio Summerville from Leeds as they have accepted the proposal sent to them by The Hammers.

Fabrizio Romano, Football Park rated tier one source, has reported that the fee will cost £25 million with add-ons in the package as well. It is said to be a long term deal and that the Dutchman has had talks with new West Ham manager Julien Lopetegui before making this move, most likely reassure him that this is a great move.

Summerville was named Championship Player of the Season last year and there was no debate that he didn’t deserve the award. He achieved 21 goals and 10 assists in all competitions, making a great talent to look out for in the upcoming Premier League season.

Romano also delivered the news last month that Brighton had officially made contact with Leeds about acquiring his services, on top of the fact that both Liverpool and Chelsea had been monitoring Summerville over the last couple of months. That is all in the past now West Ham have just purchased a quality young player with great potential.

It does ask the question of what does the future look like from players like Lucas Paquetá, Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen who all can play well in that winger role that Summerville can. Is Summerville a starter or just a back up? Does this mean West Ham are looking to sell one of those players? Who knows? For now, Summerville is a Hammer.
