Sunderland Attempt to Sign Experienced Belgium International
Sunderland are trying a late swoop to secure the signing of respected Belgium international Dodi Lukébakio according to Sacha Tavolieri.

The current SL Benfica winger only made 17 appearances for the Portuguese outfit last season, and a move to Premier League side Sunderland could give Lukébakio more game time.
The 28-year-old will still have the chance to play European football if he decides to leave SL Benfica for The Black Cats, as Sunderland secured their spot in the Europa League last season.
The Premier League side are enjoying their second season back in the English topflight after promotion in the 2024/25 campaign.
It therefore provides Lukébakio the opportunity to try and nail down a first team spot after having to endure sharing minutes on the pitch with his current teammates at SL Benfica.
Having 33 appearances for the Belgium national team, alongside six goals, means The Black Cats will be adding an experienced player to their ranks for the rest 2026/27 season if the sign Lukébakio.
