For a side that many had pegged as favourites to go straight back down into the Championship next season, Sunderland have been enjoying a sensational return to life in the top flight after their decade of absence.
A summer overhaul of new players following a cash-laden Championship play-off final win, amongst them former Arsenal star Granit Xhaka and terrific young stars Noah Sadiki and Habib Diarra, has led the pathway for The Black Cats to sit a confident 7th in the Premier League, which is an almighty 15 points clear of the drop zone and eight clear of the most nearby fellow-promoted side, Leeds United (16th).
With survival seemingly a bygone conclusion for this term, Sunderland have began to plan ahead for seasons to come. As such, they have lined up potential moves for two of European football's most elite wonderkids.

+ elite set pieces, combination of ball recovery x expected creative output numbers only bested by Pedri for his age bracket... big move over the next 12-18 months seems inevitable https://t.co/ww3hGZyWzL pic.twitter.com/TWZaeSXu4q
According to TEAMtalk, Sunderland are looking into possible moves for Lille star Ayyoub Bouaddi and AS Monaco's Lamine Camara, with the Black Cats revealing the extent of their ambition for the season's to come.
Relegation, once deemed as a near-certainty for Sunderland this term before a ball had been kicked, is now not even a consideration in the minds of those in the North East. As per the information provided to TEAMtalk, the club are planning well beyond this immediate season and looking ahead to the future of the club back in the English top-flight.
In Bouaddi and Camara, Regis Les Bris' side are eyeing up two of Europe's most elite prospects. Operating out of Ligue 1 in France, Bouaddi (18) and Camara (21) have been earmarked by clubs around the continent across their most formative years in the game.

The former has been closely followed by Chelsea and Arsenal over recent weeks and recently extended his contract into 2029, whereas the latter had been on the radar of Manchester United over the duration of the summer.
It is understood that there is absolutely no intention in Sunderland to allow star midfielder Noah Sadiki to leave the club anytime soon, with the 21-year-old DR Congo midfielder enjoying a remarkable start to Premier League life this season - Manchester United and Chelsea were the two clubs interested in bringing him into the 'Big Six'.
But with Sadiki staying and with seriously ambitious future transfer moves plotted together, there is no reason for Sunderland not to believe in their approach to line out future seasons.
