Szczęsny Set For Saudi

Poland goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny is all set to leave Juventus to join Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr.

The negotiations with Al-Nassr are going smoothly and preceding quickly according to tier two Football Park rated source Matteo Moretto.

The 34 year old has been a loyal servant to the Bianconeri since 2017 and has played 252 games for them in all competitions, keeping 103 clean sheets.

Szczęsny has reportedly agreed to the transfer and will be on a two year contract.

This move sees him linking up with former Juventus teammate and one of the best players in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Juventus will receive €5 million and look to find a younger replacement for him as they currently don’t have a goalkeeper under the age of 31.

Given his age, it is likely that he will retire after seeing out this contract but typically the career longevity is always higher with keepers, and he could take note from fellow former Juventus man Gianluigi Buffon and carry on playing professional football until he’s 45 but that is unfortunately unlikely.
