Talented Flint Town Defender Staying put Despite League Two Interest

As Pete O'Rourke has reported, Flint Town defender Isaac Lee will be staying with the Welsh Premier League side Flint Town despite interest from Walsall and Bristol Rovers this window.

The big centre-half joined the Silkmen on an inital loan from Radcliffe at the start of last season, before making the move permanent in January on a free transfer.

Walsall and Bristol Rovers End Their Interest

Both Walsall and Bristol Rovers were amongst a number of League Two clubs monitoring the 20-year-old this summer, but have both decided to end their pursuit as the deadline draws closer.

Lee who impressed last season, by helping Flint Town avoid relegation started his career at Stoke City. He went on to have noticeable loan spells at AFC Fylde, Stafford Rangers and Ramsbottom United. Still a developing defender, Lee was an outstanding performer last season in the Welsh Premier League.

Lee who stands at a towering 6ft 6in had a release clause in his contract, however a deal could not be met. It was also reported that MLS side Toronto was close to signing the youngster earlier in the summer, but he now looks set to stay with the Welsh side for the upcoming season.
