Tammy Abraham Could be Headed Back to the Premier League

13/06/24 14:59

According to Matt Law, who Football Park rate as a tier three reliable source, has recently reported that Tammy Abraham might be returning to the premier league this summer.

The striker has spent the last three years at Roma, following his €41 million move from Chelsea. He scored 27 goals in his first season in Italy, but has struggled with injuries since then. He’s spent the last 10 months recovering from a knee injury, missing 40 games for Roma in the process.

Roma are expecting bids for the England international, and Abraham has been linked with a switch to West Ham, Tottenham and Aston Villa. He spent the 2018/19 season on loan with Villa, bagging 26 goals in all competitions.

Matt Law has reported that Spurs are yet to make a decision whether to bid for the striker, and Villa are only likely to make an offer should Jhon Duran move to Chelsea.

Abraham has proved before that he is effective in the Premier League, scoring 15 goals in the 2019/20, and with sources in Italy claiming he could be available for as low as €20 million, he represents great value for clubs interested in his services. Villa will be particularly thankful for that price tag, given their current issues with PSR.

Roma are also experiencing financial issues, and it looks as if Paolo Dybala will depart for a bargain fee. They may have to ship off Abraham in order to raise funds and balance the books.

The 26-year-old has two years remaining on his current Roma contract.
