What is Arne Slot's problem? Well, everything but himself from the sounds of things.
The Dutch manager has made a brilliant start to his rein as Liverpool manager, helping them to a second Premier League win during his debut season. Since then, he has added over £400m of talent to his title-winning side. So why, in the name of all thing holy, is he complaining about everything under the sun since Liverpool's downturn in form?
From the shock horror of other teams changing their starting lineup, a lack of squad depth despite breaking the Premier League transfer record (twice) and blaming a lack of pre-season for players (it's November), Liverpool's manager seems totally incapable of wholly accepting blame.
It may be too early in the day to say that Liverpool are in a crisis, but the times had at Anfield are certainly far from fun at the moment.
Their plethora of new signings, which brought much praise upon arrival in the summer, have all been effectively useless. Furthermore, the team have lost 6 of their last 7, and may be staring at a record no Liverpool manager has suffered since the 1800's, should Slot lose the next three in the Premier League against Aston Villa, Man City and Nottingham Forest - 9 losses from 10.
Arne Slot has been quick to point the finger at various circumstances over the course of this season, showing that when the going has got tough for Liverpool this campaign, their manager doesn't know how to respond (apart from buggering off on holiday).
[🟢] NEW: Giovanni Van Bronckhorst is set to take charge of the game against Crystal Palace on Wednesday, as Arne Slot is travelling to Dubai.

His latest wonderful claim was that the squad available to him was suffering from a lack of depth. Liverpool played a youthful side in the Carabao Cup the other night, which was defeated by a sound 3-0 by Crystal Palace. But who's fault is that, Arne?
Is it someone else who broke the Premier League transfer record twice on a midfielder unsuited to the Premier League's tight defences, and then again on a striker who betrayed the club that made him and hadn't trained in months? Was it someone else who decided to give mega-money contracts to Salah and van Dijk, club legends who have been miles off it this season? Was it someone else who signed a right-back who can't play right-back, failed to bolster an ancient defence and sold off the majority of the squad's depth with no replacement? No, Arne, it was you.
Arne Slot's latest excuse? Pre-season.

Tomorrow is November.
And this after his excuse for losing to Manchester United at home (shameful as that is) was that they played a different squad to the one they planned for. Massive news-flash, manager rotates team. Arne is struggling at Liverpool and if he can't stop the run that they are on at the moment, it will certainly be interesting to see if he lasts much longer in the hot-seat.
