This Is Finally Karamoko Dembele’s Year

Karamoko Dembele has had a pretty crazy start to his career already. And he is still only 21 years old. However, we can’t help but believe this might finally be his year.

Let us explain.

Who Is Karamoko Dembele?

Karamoko Dembele truly burst onto the scene making a name for himself after appearing for Scottish side Celtic’s under 20s squad at the age of just 13. Just 3 years later he would make his debut for the club.

French news outlet, L’Equipe would name him as 1 of the “outstanding young players set to revolutionise the game” in 2019 however it wasn’t to be.

Dembele would only make 8 appearances for the Celtic first team before he was shipped off to Brest following the expiration of his contract in 2022. He would struggle with them as well, only making 16 appearances and failing to score a single goal in Ligue 1.

However he found his feet while being sent on loan to Blackpool last season. Dembele would score 8 and assist 14 during his loan, contributing massively to their 8th place league one finish.

This season he has been sent out on loan to QPR where he has already impressed in the championship.

Why is this Karamoko Dembele’s Year?

Dembele has struggled for consistent game time at all the clubs he has played for thus far in his career however there is clearly a lot of ability there. As proven especially by his time at Blackpool last season.

Already this year he has proved to be a star man for QPR as well. Despite a slow start to the season that has seen the Hoops pick up just 2 points from the opening 3 games, Dembele has shown his ability.

He has thus far completed 61 passes as well as 75% of his take ons in his opening 2 matches with the club. However his most standout stat has to be chances created.

Dembele has created more chances so far this campaign than any other player in the EFL Championship with 12 chances created. If QPR are to improve on their start to the season Dembele will prove more key than anyone else in their squad.

A good season for Karamoko Dembele this year with QPR could be just what he needs to push on and finally reach the potential he seemed destined for when he first broke through at Celtic.

And we believe this could finally be his year to do so.
