Trent Alexander-Arnold ‘In Talks’ To Buy FC Nantes
Liverpool and England defender, Trent Alexander Arnold, has reportedly launched an attempt to try and purchase Ligue 1 club FC Nantes.
Whilst primarily known for his range of passing, the 25-year-old has clearly also been focusing his efforts towards investments. According to L’Equipe, the Liverpool star made a bid of around €100 million via an Investment Firm run by his father.

Waldemar Kita is the current owner of the eight-time French champions. He’s owned the club since 2007, but is considering selling up after facing financial difficulties.
The club has faced a decline in performance on and off the pitch over the last few years, and perhaps a change of ownership is what is needed to turn their fortunes around.
According to reports, Kita is ‘furious’ that Alexander-Arnold’s bid to purchase the club has been leaked to the press.
Currently, it’s understood that Trent’s bid of €100 million is currently not enough to meet Kita’s demands, after Trent’s representatives met with the Nantes owner for a third time.
Whilst the deal isn’t currently on, that doesn’t mean it’s dead in the water, and we could see progression in the coming days.
Former Arsenal man Hector Bellerin owns a minority stake in Forest Green Rovers. The team currently competes in the National League after being relegated from League Two.
Real Madrid and France star Kylian Mbappe owns an 80% majority stake in Ligue 2 side Caen.
Trent could join Mbappe in Madrid next year, with Real interested in Trent as a long term replacement for Dani Carvajal. The Liverpool youth products contract is set to expire next year.
