Under-21's Team of the Week: Cameron Humphreys Shines
Another week of football and another week where some under 21s put in some great performances. Here’s the rundown of the best displays, from goalkeeper to striker.
We’ve chosen a 4-3-1-2 formation this week, allowing us to showcase the key players into our side.
Reyes made five vital saves in his match versus Burton Albion, causing Cambridge to keep a clean sheet. On top of that, he made 15 recoveries and prevented 0.27 goals.
Callum Doyle grabbed himself an assist in Norwich’s draw with Middlesborough, but he was also very good defensively. Six clearances, three headed clearances, two interceptions, eight defensive actions and 15 recoveries were his stats come the full time whistle.
Norwich City defender Callum Doyle registered his fourth Championship assist of the season in Sunday's 3-3 draw against Middlesbrough. 🪄

Impressively, only Josh Sargent and Tom Fellows (both five) have created more goals in the division than him so far this term. 👀#NCFC pic.twitter.com/6kNuV0bWdc
Taylor was a key part in Wycombe’s win over Leyton Orient. He was part of the back line that kept a clean sheet winning 11 duels, winning 100% of his ground duels (4/4) and 78% of his ariel duels (7/9).
CJ Egan-Riley was a passing machine in Burnley’s 0-0 draw against QPR. He had a 94% pass accuracy from 96/102 passes. He also had 20 passes into the final third but unfortunately his teammates were unable to do anything of the back of those passes.
Playing out of his normal position of defensive midfield, Michael Craig put on a great display from right back in Reading’s 1-0 win over Bristol Rovers. He was disposed only once and made one clearance as well as one interception as well.
Jobe grabbed himself a goal in his match against Oxford United, making that his second of the season so far. He massively outperformed his xG of 0.09 alongside a good defensive display of one clearance, one interception, six defensive actions and four recoveries.
Ollie Arblaster had another great performance. This time round against Stoke he racked up three clearances, two headed clearances, three defensive actions, two recoveries, seven duels won 100% accurate long balls (5/5) and 100% successful dribbles (3/3). Not only that, but he helped Sheffield keep a clean sheet and took home three points.
Cameron Humphreys provided both a goal and an assist in his match versus Leyton Orient. The Englishman outperformed his xG + xA of 0.82 and was a defensive presence with one clearance, three defensive actions, four recoveries and five duels won. A deserved Man of the Match performance.

Like Humphreys, Port Vale’s Rico Richards also grabbed himself a goal and an assist but he managed to do so inside 69 minutes as he was taken off to prevent an injury. He scored from his only shot in the match making him have 100% shooting accuracy and also had two defensive actions and six recoveries.
Coming onto the pitch in the 59th minute, Dajaune Brown scored the equalising goal that saw Derby salvage a point against Hull City, his first ever professional goal. He was subbed off in the 89th minute, playing only 30 minutes of football but in that time Brown achieved a 100% duelling win rate (2/2 ground and 1/1 ariel) in addition to a 100% shot accuracy.
