Vinicius Could Be Set For Shocking Premier League Switch

06/04/24 03:26

Vinicius Junior is amongst the best players in the world. And he has been for a few years now. After a stellar 21/22 campaign saw him be a key member of the Real Madrid Champions League winning team, he has followed it up with two incredible seasons which have really seen him develop into the player everyone thought he had the potential to be.

However, the Brazilian has faced a couple of problems in Spain during the last few seasons as well. He has been racially abused in multiple stadiums across Spain, in an attempt to provoke him. Whilst Vini has been very vocal in his campaign against racism, the situation does not seem to be getting any better. He has also been abused by the fanbase and there have been extreme gestures against him by the opposition fans. This situation has led Vinicius to start considering options outside of Spain, despite his love for Real Madrid. The imminent arrival of Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid could also play a part in his decision.

And according to reports in the media, Premier League giants Chelsea and Liverpool could be ready to splash an incredible amount of money to lure him away from Madrid. The figure being quoted is a whopping €200m Euros. Chelsea desperately need a star to lead their project whilst Liverpool will look to finally fill the void that was left by the departure of Sadio Mane. Furthermore, the commercial benefits of this move could also be a motivating factor, considering that Vinicius is one of the biggest names in football and is expected to lead the Brazilian National team in the future as well.

PSG are also quoted as an option, considering that they have been interested in the Brazilian winger in the past. The French club will also look to fill the void left by the departure of Kylian Mbappe, who is coincidentally heading to Real Madrid. PSG will also be looking to replicate the commercial success of their signing of his South American compatriots Neymar and Lionel Messi.

It remains to be seen if Real Madrid will even consider a departure for their player. The player is well loved by Florentino Perez as well as the coaches and the locker room. Vinicius’ will can also be important because if he does actually end up leaving, he would want to join a competitive project on the levels of Real Madrid. It’s a tricky situation and it could unravel in the coming summer. For now, a key part of the season is coming for Real Madrid, where they would look to secure another La Liga title and compete in the Champions League.
