It has been reported that Millwall and Portsmouth are battling it out for Sheffield Wednesday's Svante Ingelsson, however according to Football League World, West Brom are attempting to hijack the move in the final hour.
With Sheffield Wedndesday all but confirmed to be going down into League One at the end of this season, Swedish midfielder Ingelsson has been attempting to flee the sinking ship and sign for someone else in the league with 'The Baggies' now being in contention for him.
It has been no secret that West Brom have been looking in the market for possible moves following their poor form and looming relegation battle to stay in the Championship but it's fair to say this last minute move was unexpected by most.
Ingelsson has been a stalwart feature of Sheffield Wednesday's midfield this season featuring in 28 of the 29 games played. In this time he has only been able to bag 1 goal for the side but has shown his quality with numerous good performances such as against Millwall.

It's certainly an audacious effort but if West Brom are able to pull it off they would gain a very experienced midfielder who has proven it in the Championship, just what the side need in efforts to stay up.
