What Are Wycombe Wanderers Cooking Up?
Wycombe are currently sat in second place in the League One standings and so here at Football Park we’ll be taking a look at why they are doing so good.
Wycombe have played 12 games in this year’s League One campaign so far. In that time, they have amassed eight wins, two losses and two draws. That totals up to 26 points, just three points behind current league leaders Birmingham City. The two defeats that Wycombe did suffer came in the opening two matches of the season. They were handed a tough schedule in facing two of the teams most likely to gain promotion in the first two games. Wrexham and Birmingham bested them but since then, Wycombe have gone on unbeaten in League One.

Making our Under-21’s Team of the Week this week, centre back Caleb Taylor and midfielder Cameron Humphreys as well as Richard Kone have all been excellent this season. Striker Kone has averaged 0.81 goals per game this season on top of being The Chairboys’ top scorer with six goals to his name in the opening 12 matches.
Caleb Taylor has been a defensive masterclass. The young centre back has put up an average of 3.3 clearances per 90, 0.6 blocks per 90 and 2.6 interceptions per 90 which is 1.1 higher than Wycombe’s next best player in Josh Scowen.
