Which Players Have Created The Most xg In The Championship So Far This Season?
The EFL Championship season is in full swing now and slowly we are getting to understand which teams and players are likely to impress us most this season.
And with so many goals already being scored after just 3 games we thought we would look into which players have created the highest xG (expected goals) in the league so far.
(All stats found on Fotmob)
The first name on our list is Millwall’s Tom Bradshaw and considering Millwall have had such a slow start to the season this comes as a bit of a shock.
Bradshaw has found himself in some good positions but has failed to capitalise for Millwall this season as shown by his just 1 goal - underperforming his expected goals amount.
If Millwall are to push on they will hope that Bradshaw can improve and take the chances he is expected to have.

Stoke City are another team that have struggled this season so far having picked up just 3 points from the opening 3 games However if Lewis Koumas was performing closer to his xG this may be different.
Koumas has scored 1 goal so far this season and considering Stoke have only scored two goals so far this doesn’t seem awful. Of course they would want more but at least he has scored one of the goals.
However considering he is expected to score more than he has proves that there is an issue in the Stoke camp when it comes to finishing their chances. The positions and chances are there Koumas just needing to convert more often.

Not really fell in love with a loan player, I’ve liked them, Cundle for example, who I’d love to return
But Koumas has me in a headlock already
WHAT A PLAYER
The third player on this list that has an xG of 1.7, Kieffer Moore is another player that has been expected to convert more than he has considering the chances he has had.
Moore has one goal this season for Sheffield United who are yet to lose a game. However for an experienced striker this will be disappointing.

Surprisingly Haji Wright is the only player on this list that is performing to their expected goals so far.
Considering the chances that Wright has had he has been expected to score 2 goals and that is precisely what he has got.
And with Coventry hoping for a promotion push come the end of the season Wright will be hoping he can keep this up. Could he lead Coventry to promotion come the end of the season?

Look no further than @Coventry_City's Haji Wright 🥶 #PUSB pic.twitter.com/5ubwspnVSH
And the player that has created the highest xG in the Championship this season is Middlesbrough’s Latte Lath.
Latte Lath appeared on our list for chances created in the Championship so it is not surprising to see the striker here as well.
Currently heavily underperforming his expected goals Latte Lath has scored just 1 goal for Boro this season. And with the amount of chances he is involved in this is incredibly disappointing viewing for the striker.
He will need to take more of his chances if Middlesbrough are to push on for the rest of the season.
"That's the first of many many goals for that lad this season!" 🌟
