Gillingham had the best August they could have asked for starting off the season as they mean to go on. Mark Bonner being at the helm is a big reason for that.
Bonner only recently took the job bringing with him an attacking style of play and it has shown to be effective with Gillingham going 4 games unbeaten in August - topping the table at the end of the month.
If he can continue that form throughout the season Bonner could lead Gillingham to a fantastic promotion push.

Another manager that has only recently taken the job at his current club, Clemence is nominated for manager of the month as well.
Clemence came into the job and trusted the defensive capabilities of the squad he inherited and while playing good free flowing football has helped guide Barrow to more clean sheets than any other team in the league. Only conceding 1 goal in August as a whole.
Claiming 9 points from 4 games along the way, Clemence’s start at Barrow has been superb.

Jackson’s time at the Dons has been interesting to say the least but game by game the progression of the club is being shown.
However, Jackson has guided the club to a good start to the season in what was an incredibly busy month of football for Wimbledon. Claiming 9 points from 4 games in August as well as helping to introduce the new players steadily Jackson may have gone under the radar for his management this month.
However he has been nominated for August’s manager of the month award and with good reason.

The final manager that made the cut is Walsall’s Mat Sadler.
Sadler has seen his squad settle over the past few months following his first season at the club and a good pre-season as well.
New players have come in and made an impact for Sadler’s side with much of the praise going to the man at the helm.
9 points in 4 games in August is more than enough to get him nominated for this award.
🏆 Head Coach Mat Sadler and defender Connor Barrett have both been nominated for the @SkyBetLeagueTwo August Manager of the Month and Player of the Month awards respectively!
