Who has created the most chances in league two so far this season?
The first 4 weeks of the 2024/25 League Two season has been action packed and seen goals galore, but we’re not looking at goals, we’re looking at who’s been the most creative.
Here is a list of the top 5 most creative players so far this season in League Two.
5 - Aaron Nemane - MK Dons - 9 chances created
Only winning 1 of their opening 4, MK Dons have struggled in the final third, being the team to miss the most big chances in the league.
Nemane is creating 2.5 chances per game which goes to show that The Dons are not lacking in the creative department, this is also backed up by their 5.5 XG, again, lacking in that finishing department.

Nemane is slipped in down the right, and cuts it back, a repeated action
But the finish is actually really difficult

4 - Shaun Whalley - Accrington Stanley - 10 chances created
Despite an awful start to the campaign for Accrington Stanley picking up only 2 points, Shaun Whalley has been a firm leader in the heart of the Accrington attack.
Being 37 years old and shows no sign of stopping, 1 goal and 2 assists, Whalley is the main man for his side battling just above the relegation zone.
Yet another side lacking quality in the end product which would move their side up the table quickly.
3 - Jodi Jones - Notts County - 10 chances created
The most important player for County, Jones is the leading goals contributor with 5, not including his 10 created chances.
Notts County sit 7th and Jones’ 2.5 chances created per 90 has boosted his team to being the third highest scoring side in the league.
Defensively, Notts County aren’t too shabby either with only 4 goals conceded compared to the leagues highest total of 8.

2 - Jake Reeves - AFC Wimbledon - 11 chances created
Wimbledon’s most influential player with an average 7.6 rating per 90, the main man in the middle is seeing the tone for Wimbledon in his second full season.
Wimbledon have had a positive start to the season, only being defeated once by Bromley in the second game of the season.
Reeves’ 2.8 created chances per 90 has boosted his side into a promotion spot.
15th in the league and off to a slow start, but that does represent Jack Payne. 1 goal and 2 assists in 4 league fixtures.
2.8 chances created per 90 for Colchester, Payne is a lone soldier in a struggling side that has not won in their last 2 fixtures.
A negative goal difference with 5 scored and 6 conceded, Jack Payne is the key player in this side trying to cause chaos this season.

It's an exquisite goal from Jack Payne, who received the ball from Milton Oni before lobbing the goalkeeper with his shot!
