Who Has The Highest Average Attendance In EFL League Two?
The EFL League Two season is well underway now with many fans going to watch their team play week in week out.
But which club has the highest average attendance in the fourth tier of English Football?
We thought we would take a look and find out exactly.
Swindon Town have struggled so far this season however one thing they can almost always guarantee is that their attendance is high.
An average attendance of 7,556 has gone and seen their team fail to win a single game this season - only picking up 3 points in the opening 5 games.
Unfortunately the 12th man element hasn’t helped them but a continued support could see a change in their form so long as things improve on the pitch.
Another team struggling so far this season is Carlisle United but much like Swindon Town their fans are still coming out in full.
Carlisle’s 8,908 average attendance have seen them pick up 3 points from the opening 5 games so far this season - sitting just a point clear of the bottom 2.
Will the fans in the stadium help things change or is Carlisle United sure to become a toxic environment every week?
The next team on this list is recently promoted Chesterfield. A team bringing their support into the EFL after promotion from the National League.
Chesterfield have started amazingly well and much of that success has come from the continued support from their fans.
In fact Chesterfield haven’t lost a game at home in the league since April 2024.
If this support continues, Chesterfield could be in for an even better season than they are already having.
A big jump up sees Notts County claim second spot with an incredible average attendance of 10,083.
And sitting in 2nd place their fans are surely a massive part of that success. Helping push the players on the pitch to continue to perform.
Notts County are yet to lose a league game this season. Will their continued support lead to promotion from the division come the end of the season?
But the highest average attendance in the league goes to Bradford City with a sensational 16,742 average attendance.
Bradford currently sit 5th in the table but it is their home form that is eye-catching. They haven’t lost in the league at home since March and their continued support - as shown by the average attendance numbers that they have.
To put into context if they were in League One Bradford City would sit in 4th place for average attendances.
Incredible support for the League Two club.
