Wolverhampton Wanderers are expecting to finalise a £26m move for Girona FC star Ladislav Krejci over the coming hours, with the Premier League side reaching a total agreement with with the player and, with the player's release clause triggered, the club, according to Nil Sola.
Krejci, 26, is a left-sided defender comfortable operating both as a full-back or as a more central figure to the backline. He'll be joining a Wolves side that has seen speculation raised above them as to their chances in the Premier League this season.
Ladislav Krejčí (26, 🇨🇿) heavily linked to #Wolves - an interesting option with CL experience as recently as last season.

Injury record comes into play from his time with Sparta Prague but this seems to be an anomaly.
The transfer (~€30m) sounds high but his talent is clear… pic.twitter.com/Zc4OFn0oAS
The Czechia international, who has won 20 caps for his country, is among the higher-regarded defensive players in La Liga, having impressed in his one year in Spain since a £10.3m move from Sparta Praha in July 2024.
Wolverhampton Wanderers sit bottom of the Premier League after the first match of the season, in which they were soundly beaten 4-0 by title hopefuls Manchester City.
Ladislav Krejci may come in as one of the wisest signings of the Premier League transfer window.
Though his €30m signing fee, which is due to be agreed to by selling club Girona in the coming hours, eclipses any other fee paid by Wolves for the services of Jackson Tchatchoua, David Moller Wolfe, Jhon Arias and Fer Lopez this summer (nor the fee that turned Jorgen Strand Larsen's loan into a permanent stay), his quality and the rave reviews from Girona fans should be more than enough to excite those in Old Gold.

The 6'3 defender is an aerial threat and a physical nuisance, making 8.8 defensive contrbutions per game last season, whilst winning 68% of all of his aerial battles in La Liga last season, placing him in the top 4% of players in the league for the latter factor.
Now, with Wolves looking to bolster their backline, a total agreement has been reached between Krejci and his pending new club, with a €30m offer from the West Midlands outfit due to be accepted over the coming hours, as it triggers the Czechian defenders release clause with the CityGroup-owned side.
