Faes-Off - Disliked Leicester Defender Closing on West Ham Switch
Faes Set for Hammer Blow
Leicester City defender Wout Faes is set to make a return to the Championship by joining West Ham on a three-year deal, with Calcio Mercato reporting that an agreement was reached overnight between the two sides.

The Belgian defender spent the second half of last season, one which ended with Leicester dropping to League One, out on loan with AS Monaco. With the Foxes succumbing to the drop, this means he has been relegated in three of the four seasons he has been a Leicester player.
But his time at the King Power Stadium now looks set to be coming to an end, with an agreement landing last night that will see him make a move to the London Stadium.
Faes Off
The move has not exactly been welcomed by West Ham fans, who flooded the reply section of the tweet breaking the news of his pending move with animosity, whilst Leicester fans are only too happy to see him depart.
One Leicester fan enquired about the fee they would receive whilst stating that his exit would be a dream:

A West Ham fan bit back to the news, making a desperate plea for his beloved Hammers to not go ahead with the deal:

Faes joined Leicester from Stade Reims in 2022, and played 36 games for the club as they dropped out of the Premier League for the first time in almost a decade. He stayed and played another 43 in the Championship and helped them get back up into the top flight, but then was a part of the squad that was relegated two times in a row, meaning Leicester are currently dwindling under Russell Martin down in League One.
He has made a total of 135 appearances for Leicester, scoring six goals.
