Wrexham have agreed a permanent deal for Sheffield Wednesday striker Bailey Cadamarteri. According to Rob Staton, the 20-year-old will complete a move to the fellow Championship side, subject to completing a medical ahead of the deadline. The reported fee is said to be in the region of £1 million, though the agreed price is yet to be confirmed.
Cadamarteri has been a regular feature for The Owls this season, scoring two goals in 29 Championship appearances. An energetic young striker who will only improve around a host of experienced players in the Wrexham ranks, as they hope to maintain their strong form in the division with eyes on a play-off place.
The Owls academy product has made 24 starts in the Championship this season, given the license to lead the line amid the club's financial crisis and growing injury list. He ranks among the highest for shots attempted, alongside successful dribbles completed, highlighting his confidence despite his youth.

His performances earned him a call-up for the Jamaican men's senior international team, scoring in a World Cup Qualification victory over Trinidad & Tobago in September. Cadamarteri will face strong competition in the Wrexham side, including leading goalscorer Kieffer Moore and the rumored deal for Barnsley forward Davis Keillor-Dunn. The Jamaican international is likely to be seen as one for the future, and it would be no surprise to see him sent out on loan to continue his development after this deal is complete.
Wrexham have fended off competition from a host of EFL clubs , including the likes of Millwall and Blackburn, who were reported to have interest in his services. Sheffield Wednesday is likely to turn to the loan market for a replacement striker, having recently added Jerry Yates to their ranks on loan from Luton Town.
