James Costello

An Everton supporter, sports broadcasting enthusiast and self-confessed Formula 1 fanatic, James Costello is a sports journalist with a passion for telling stories that connect supporters with the games they love.

James has built experience across reporting, presenting, commentary and club media, covering everything from Premier League football and Super League rugby to cricket, darts and gymnastics. His work has seen him interview the likes of Sir James Anderson, Matt Peet, Jodie Cunningham and Dave Chisnall, while also producing match reports, features and digital content for clubs including Avro FC and Widnes Vikings.

Comfortable both behind the camera and in front of it, James has developed a growing portfolio of presenting, live reporting and digital content creation. Whether reporting from the touchline, interviewing athletes, producing social media content or hosting on camera, his ambition is simple: to tell engaging stories that bring supporters closer to the sport.

Away from work, James is usually following Everton across the country, keeping up with Formula 1, or finding another excuse to talk about Sonic the Hedgehog.
