As the final day in the 2024/25 Serie A season approaches, we will soon find out the Scudetto victors, the teams contesting Europe and the teams who will drop down to the second tier. In this game, it is Juventus who head North-East to face Venezia in a match where both teams are awaiting their destiny for the 2025-26 season.
Venezia comes into this fixture desperate to find all three points. Currently residing in 19th place, they require all three points in order to survive. Their fate also lies on Lecce and Empoli both dropping points to make their survival possible. With a superior goal difference on both sides, if they can win and their relegation rivals both fail to win, Venezia will manage to stay up. However, they face a reinvigorated Juve side, desperate to achieve something themselves.
The visitors for Sunday evening’s fixture also have something on the line. Which European competition they will be playing in next season. Of course, Igor Tudor’s side will be eager to lock in a Champions League spot next year, and a win in Venice will seal that for them.
As the game approaches, here is everything you need to know about both sides ahead of kick-off.
The Stadio Pierluigi Penzo will host its last match of the Serie A season when Juventus travel to Venice on Sunday 25th May.

Venezia Predicted Lineup (3-5-2): Radu; Cande, Schingtienne, Marcandalli; Ellertsson, Busio, Caviglia, Perez, Zerbin; Gytkjær, Yeboah.
Jay Idzes will be suspended for Sunday while Gaetano Oristanio, Alfred Duncan, Michael Svoboda and Cheick Oumar Conde will be all be out for Eusebio Di Francesco’s side.
Venezia have not necessarily been on relegation form at the minute, losing twice, drawing twice, and winning once in their last five matches. Draws on the road to Torino and Empoli were strong results, with two scoreless losses to Cagliari and Milan to dampen their spirits. A strong win however against Fiorentina will still give Francesco something to cling on to.
Their two scorers against Fiorentina are both missing for Sunday, meaning their forward pair of Gytkjær and Yeboah must step up to keep them in the hunt of survival. The whole team will need to work together and with the pressure much more with their opponents, an upset could well be on the cards.
Juventus Predicted Lineup (3-4-2-1): Di Gregorio; Kelly, Veiga, Savona; Cambiaso, Locatelli, Thuram, McKennie; Yıldız, Gonzalez; Kolo Muani.
Pierre Kalulu will be suspended for Sunday, while Bremer, Juan Cabal, Arkadiusz Milik, Teun Koopmeiners will all be sidelined for Tudor’s side.
Apart from their poor defeat in Parma, their last four results have included two comfortable wins against Monza and Udinese, with two draws versus Bologna and Lazio inbetween, securing their upper hand coming into the final match of the season.
Randal Kolo Muani has been strong recently, scoring twice in the past four games, and he will hope to have one last say before heading back to Paris. The defensive duo of Lloyd Kelly and Renato Veiga will also be hoping to leave their mark and impress before heading back to England- Newcastle and Chelsea respectively.
Venezia have history against them, having not won once in the past nine meetings, with Juve winning six. The hosts will have to create history in order to leave them a chance of survival.
Recent Meetings:
The hosts will have to create history in order to leave them a chance of survival. It is very difficult to see this happening given the experience within the Juve camp. We do not believe there will be an upset here, and Juventus should deal with Venezia.
