"I Would Rather See Haaland Step Out The Door..." - Man City Fan Reacts To Alvarez Exit Links

Over the last couple of days, there has been an increase in speculation that Julian Alvarez is going to leave Manchester City this summer…WHAT?!

Alvarez barely puts a foot wrong whenever he puts that City shirt on.

A player that has saved us countless times to keep our league title at bay, a player that has helped us get through to the next round of the Champions League, and we are happy with 80 million for him!

Chelsea, PSG, Atletico Madrid and probably countless other clubs are all interested in signing our striker but honestly, I would rather see Haaland step out that door then Alvarez.

Chelsea are of course floating around hoping that Txiki and co. will be so daft to let another one of our promising players go to London.

Despite being an out and out striker throughout his career so far, Guardiola has really got the boy working for his minutes. Playing Alvarez in midfield and on the wing, but the Argentine still puts in fantastic performances.

Featuring mostly as a substitute, because when Haaland is in form, well, not many people would bench a robot, Alvarez will put in a better performance then most of our other attackers.

So far with Manchester City, Alvarez has featured over 100 times picking up 36 goals and 18 assists. Unreal stats for a player who does not start every game and has only been at the club for two seasons.

Man City should be doing everything that they can to keep this lad at the club, the resemblance of Sergio Aguero alone is why a lot of Manchester City fans are so drawn to this player, but his talent has taken him to the top of the game instantly.

His versatility has helped us out massively, filling in for Grealish on the wing, Haaland up front and even De Bruyne in midfield. Other than Foden, there is not another player this versatile in our attack. Yes, you could add Bernardo Silva to that list but he has been desperate to get to Barcelona for the best part of three years now.

I think it would be the worst piece of business to let Alvarez leave and to not guarantee him more game time, he is definitely good enough and he shows that every single time he steps onto the pitch.

However, the only positive is that I could trust the City board with my life. They will find another talent and make them world class in no time…but, Alvarez needs to stay!

We have let Palmer, Gundo and Sane all leave prematurely but Alvarez would be the worst one by a country mile.
