Saturday's EFL Accumulator Tips - Expert Weekend Football bets

Grimsby Town vs Crawley Town, League Two, 3.00pm

This matchup looks primed for goals at both ends. Grimsby have shown attacking intent at home. With a solid record of getting on the scoresheet in front of their fans, and their front line has looked sharper since the summer additions.

Crawley, meanwhile, are known for playing open football under Scott Lindsey. They’ve scored in all five of their last five away matches, but they’ve also been leaky at the back — conceding in four of those five games. Their high-pressing approach leaves them exposed, and that plays into a BTTS scenario.

With both sides capable going forward but far from watertight defensively, this looks like a spot where backing Both Teams to Score offers real value.

Verdict: BTTS @ 1.60

Rotherham United vs Port Vale, League One, 3.00pm

Rotherham come into this match with solid home form and the experience edge. They enjoyed a strong run at the New York Stadium last season, winning 11 of their 23 home games and showing resilience in tight encounters.

Port Vale, as newcomers to League One, are still adjusting to the step up in quality. Their away record hasn’t been convincing, with 12 losses and only four wins on the road last season. Port Vale have also struggled to break down well-organised defences.

Rotherham’s ability to control games at home, combined with their recent good form and favorable head-to-head record against Port Vale, makes them the clear pick to secure the win.

Verdict: Rotherham United Win @ 2.25

Newport vs Notts County, League Two, 3.00pm

Notts County head to Rodney Parade with confidence, having won three of their last five meetings against Newport. The visitors will certainly have the edge going into Saturday’s clash. They also enjoyed a solid away record last season, securing 10 wins, 7 draws, and only 7 losses on the road.

In contrast, Newport endured a difficult campaign, narrowly avoiding relegation by finishing just above the drop zone. Their struggles were especially apparent at home, where they lost eight times and managed only five draws.

With Notts County’s stronger head-to-head form and Newport’s disappointing season fresh in the memory, the visitors start as clear favorites to come away with the win.

Verdict: Notts County Win @ 1.70

Walsall vs Swindon, League Two, 3.00pm

Both Walsall and Swindon have shown they’re happy to attack but can be a bit leaky at the back, making Both Teams to Score the smart bet here.

Walsall have conceded in each of their last 12 home games and have only failed to score themselves in one of those matches. This means a BTTS bet would have landed in 11 out of their last 12 home games.

Visitors Swindon have scored in seven of their last ten away games and have also conceded in seven of those fixtures, meaning a BTTS bet would have landed in 7 out of their last 10 away matches.

Given both sides’ ability to find the net but struggles to keep clean sheets, Both Teams to Score is the clear pick for this fixture.

Verdict: BTTS @ 1.73
