This Chelsea Star is Using His Free Time in a Surprising Way...

We've seen it before - with a retirement age so young when compared to other career, Footballer's are always looking for other ways to occupy themselves once their prime is behind them.

Mathieu Falmini is the co-founder of multi-billion pound company of GF Biochemicals, Asamoah Gyan boasts a plethora of real estate, sport and transport business, and even that ballboy Eden Hazard kicked is a millionaire thanks to his own vodka brand.

However, what is far less common is to see player's finding alternative employment while still active - professional footballer's should have their sole focus on the job at hand, leaving little room to the side for any other side hustles or hobby's.

So you can imagine one fans surprise when after ordering an Uber, they were told that his driver is named Mykhailo, and that he bares a striking resemblence to Chelsea mega-flop Mykhailo Mudryk!

Many are claiming that it is in fact the banned Chelsea man, but given that the driver has made over 6,000 trips, we simply can't see how the Ukrainian could drive that much since being banned from football last year.

The 23-year-old received the 4-year ban after traces of a cardiovascular medication, called meldonium, were found in his system in December 2024, a discovery which immediately saw him placed on temporary suspension.

Upon further enquiry and two further drugs to confirm the presence of meldonium, Mudryk was slapped with a four-year ban, which prevents him from playing both for Chelsea and his national side.

The drug was allegedly administered while the winger was on international duty, and he maintains to this day that he is not at fault. His comments at the time of the suspension stated, "This has come as a complete shock, as I have never knowingly used any banned substances or broken any rules. I am working closely with my team to investigate how this could have happened."

Meldonium has played a part in multiple high-profile drug cases since the turn of the century - in 2016, five-time Grand Slam champion Maria Sharapova was forced to see out a two-year suspension after traces of the drug were found in her system, while 13 medallists from the Baku European Games were also found to have used it in order to enhance their performances.

However, we find it highly unlikely that during their time off, they resorted to Uber driving as a source. While this is all in jest, of course, and Mudryk has not in fact taken to the road in a bid to keep himself busy, it is worth mentioning that the Ukrainian is rarely seen these days. Whereverhe is, we hope he is holding up well while he serves his ban.
