Oh, how I've missed this. The confidence, even arrogance, of us all hours before kick-off as we load a hopeful acca for it to fall to pieces just five minutes into the 3pms. Fear no more. We have an EFL longshot bet at the ready, and we have good reason to believe that these selections defy their odds.
As always, the festive football calendar is non-stop. Fans are only recovering from the thrills of the midweek action before another matchday looms. They call it the season of giving for a reason, and we all deserve that bit of joy at this time of year.
That being said, we have combined our four strongest selections from this Saturday's flurry of fixtures that also includes some recognized outside bets. Don't worry, we haven't picked these out of a hat with a blindfold on. Without further ado, let's check out this Saturday's EFL Longshot Accumulator.
This Acca was made using talkSPORT Bet, which has great value odds for any leg you can imagine. With this bet builder, you could claim a massive x3 multiplier on any bet over £5, with a maximum win of £300 on offer. You don’t want to miss it.

Norwich City vs Southampton
Cheltenham Town vs Harrogate Town
Portsmouth vs Blackburn Rovers
Wrexham vs Watford
Safe to say that Norwich City has'n't had the greatest league start. Second from bottom, a manager already out the door, and just three league wins in 20 attempts. With all that in mind, we think that they will avoid defeat to a Southampton side that has won six of their last seven matches. Sounds insane, right?
The Canaries looked impressive against Sheffield United in the week and were unfortunate not to come away with all three points. Summer signing Pelle Mattsson has come to life in recent matches, as has full-back Kellen Fisher under Philippe Clement. While The Saints come into this one full of confidence, the hosts have been gradually improving in recent weeks, and we are siding with them to come away with something in this game.
Blackburn Rovers have given themselves an unpleasant reputation in recent weeks and have recently been hit with a pitch investigation to add salt to the wound. It will be refreshing for them to venture away from Ewood Park, and the trip to an out-of-form Portsmouth is exactly what Valérien Ismaël would've wished for this Christmas. Pompey occupy the last relegation place and have lost four of their last five league matches. Despite a convincing win against Millwall, a win that many thought would spur them on, three straight defeats since have piled the pressure on manager John Mousinho, and we think that it only gets worse for him here.
Blackburn has the third strongest away form in the division (subject to Wednesday night results) and will hope to put an end to a frustrating run of draws with a victory on Saturday afternoon. We are siding with an away win here.
This selection certainly emphasises the 'Longshot' aspect of the accumulator, considering Watfordfailed to defeat Sheffield Wednesday at home in the week. The Hornets have also had a miserable time on the road so far this season, claiming victory just once in nine attempts. However, they have received a huge boost with the return of midfielder Giorgi Chakvetadze, and this extra quality could certainly put Wrexham to the sword on the weekend.
Phil Parkinson's side is unbeaten in their last seven matches, but four of these have been draws, and goals have not been aplenty for Wrexham in recent displays. Watford, meanwhile, comes into this one in strong scoring form and will be eager to make amends for a poor result in midweek. In classic Championship fashion, we are siding with an away win against the odds, the biggest value bet in this selection at 3.1 (£5 stake returns £15.50).
Perhaps a more favourable selection out of the bunch, but by no means a guarantee as Cheltenham Town hosts Harrogate Town in League Two. Two sides towards the bottom of the table, separated by just four points, but we fancy the home side to extend this gap on the weekend. Cheltenham have won consecutive matches and have been victorious in three out of their last four home league outings. They have also claimed victory on both occasions on home soil against this weekend's opposition, so the odds are in their favour to come out on top once again in this matchup. We have sided with a home win to wrap up our selections, our in-house tipster having 73.30% confidence in this bet.
