Saturday’s Premier League action sees two sides at a crossroads in their seasons meet. Brentford arrive at Turf Moor with more than faint hopes of a shock European push, while Burnley welcome their London opponents in the knowledge that wins are a must if they are to start working their way towards safety.
The Clarets have won just once in the league since the end of October, and although that result came recently against a struggling Crystal Palace side, the gap between that and their previous win is undoubtedly cause for concern.
Brentford come into this clash in a hugely contrasting vein of form – though they lost to Brighton last time out, wins over Aston Villa and Newcastle, as well as a superb draw against Arsenal, underlined that the Bees can sting anyone who underestimates them, even the biggest Premier League sides.
Clinical in their clash back in November, Brentford ran out as 3-1 winners in their meeting at the Gtech, and despite coming in as the away side, their in-form attackers and considerably more impressive squad depth, the Bees will be confident of moving within touching distance of the top six.
With so much on the line here, it is only right that you also put something at stake too. That is why Football Park has crafted two distinct bet builders, catering for those looking for both big wins and small profits, and bringing you closer to the game.

Buzzing Bees: Yes, they may have let themselves down with a disappointing home defeat against the Seagulls last time out, but they have shown their hand as one of the most surprising underdogs of any English division this season.
Tipped for relegation at the start of the season, Keith Andrews has defied everyone’s expectations, with Igor Thiago and Dango Ouattara lighting up the top of the pitch while Caiomhin Kelleher poses as a brick wall down the other end. Faced with a newly promoted Burnley side who are looking increasingly likely to go down, a win here should be elementary.
Accurate Igor: Speaking of Igor Thiago, the Brazilian will be licking his lips at the prospect of this fixture. Though he has 18 goals to his name this season, he has encountered something of a dry spell in recent weeks, netting just once in six full 90s.
However, he will have fond memories of the reverse fixture – he netted a late brace the last time the two faced each other, which, combined with a stoppage-time Ouattara finish, secured all three points. Though he may not score here, expect him to at least test Dubravka in goal – he will be as frustrated as anyone and will keep getting shots away.
Goals for Both: Despite their lowly table position, Burnley have scored in each of their last three games across all competitions, their third-best run of this season, and recent weeks indicate that they have started to become more decisive around the opposition goal.
Brentford boast infinitely more attacking firepower and are likely to net multiple here, but Burnley’s improving form in front of goal must not go unnoticed – that is why the both teams to score leg must be included.
Budding Burnley?: We have perhaps given Burnley an unfair amount of stick – after all, they managed a credible last minute draw against Chelsea last time out and managed to stick three goals in the net in a league fixture for just the second time this season against Crystal Palace.
As mentioned, their attacking output is improving, and this could spell disaster here for Brentford – if their confidence has been knocked by their defeat last weekend, an ever-improving Burnley with nothing to lose could be a dangerous opponent, one which has the capacity to take one, if not all three, points.
Goal-Fest: If this game is to go in Burnley’s favour, Brentford won’t lie down quietly – with a hornets' nest of Schade, Thiago and Ouattara up front, their attacking threat won’t diminish even if their defence allows Burnley a couple of goals.
Expect goals at both ends and a scoreline that could potentially make this fixture the game of the weekend. We are thinking that a 2-2 draw is most realistic, but if we were to choose a high-risk winner, it would have to be Burnley, either 3-1 or 3-2.
Firing Flemming: Having failed to score in all of his previous seven games, Fleming finally broke the streak with his 93rd minute equalising header against Chelsea, a goal that will bring vital confidence to both him and his team.
The best striker on Burnley’s books by a mile, Fleming has clearly been lacking in confidence recently and has looked second-rate since his goal against Newcastle. His important strike against Chelsea has the potential to spark him back into action – if Burnley are to survive, they need the Dutchman fit and firing.
Both Teams to Score: Effectively the same rationale as for the Over 3.5 goals leg, both sides to score shouldn’t be a problem if this game goes as projected.
