Advertised as the UK’s leading betting platform, talkSPORT Bet provides “an extensive online sportsbook, as well as thousands of casino games.” Providing countless markets for some of sports' biggest events, including Wimbledon, Ashes cricket and, of course, the Premier League, talkSPORT Bet offers sports, odds and legs for everyone, catering to virtually all corners of the betting world.
TalkSPORT Bet is owned by BV Gaming Limited, the same company that owns BetVictor. The aim at launch was to “combine talkSPORT’s trusted editorial brand with the BetVictor group’s proprietary technology and expertise as a gambling operator” to create an immersive, informative and responsible betting experience for customers.
Since 2016, talkSPORT as a company has been owned by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp, after the well-known media magnate completed the takeover of talkSPORT’s initial parent company, the Wireless Group. Six years after the takeover, talkSPORT Bet was created in 2022.
The focal headquarters of talkSPORT Bet are located in Gibraltar, specifically at Suite 23, Portland House, Glacis Road, GX11 1AA. Additionally, the company has a London office, which can be found at 1 London Bridge Street, SE1 9GF.
talkSPORT Bet covers virtually every sport imaginable, ranging from top-flight football and ATP Tour tennis to greyhound racing and e-sports. Furthermore, talkSPORT Bet covers the biggest events these sports have to offer - World Cup and Champions League odds can be found under the football section, while odds for all tournaments can be found in the tennis tab. A range of events can be found under any sport you choose.
talkSPORT Bet has a large range of unique features that have been expertly curated for a unique experience. They boast a range of promotions, including five for new customers only, that range from boosted odds on a chosen sports event to the opportunity to triple your winnings on any bet if you meet the necessary conditions.
talkSPORT also hosts large, platform-wide social events, with the ongoing one being a raffle for all customers with an account. The raffle is ongoing until December 21st, with a prize pot of £20,000 awarded to the customer with a winning ticket. To make these competitions attractive, thresholds to join them are low - to join the raffle, customers simply need to spend a minimum of £10 on slot games to be in with a chance of winning 20 grand.
They also present the “lucky dip”, where a customer spins a wheel in order to receive significantly boosted odds on a range of favourable to average markets. Some bettors would go for these markets for their initial odds, so when boosted, talkSPORT Bet attracts hugely boosted interest to certain games, events and legs.
Still a betting company in its younger stages, talkSPORT Bet does not actually boast any high-profile partnerships and sponsorships. This is largely due to the bookie being owned by the BetVictor group, an umbrella company which advertises its own name instead of its subsidiaries.
BetVictor themselves sponsor a host of sports events, teams and personalities, including the Snooker World Tour, the PDC Darts World Cup, the UK Snooker Champions, the Canadian Basketball League and Down Royal’s November festival of racing - for those of you that are unfamiliar, this is a horse-racing event.
Though they have not yet secured a football sponsor, it is surely only a matter of time, and as for talkSPORT Bet, it is only a matter of time until its success is recognised with a host of individual sponsorships.
